Greetings!
This is not my first blog post, but my first blog post on my new, redesigned and re-purposed blog. So let me reintroduce myself. For those that don’t know me or haven’t followed me, my name is Jesse. I’m based out of West Virginia, in the USA and my passion lies in landscape/night sky photography. I also operate under my business name “Reflection in a Pool.” I sell my work as fine art and I’ve had my work featured in publications at both the local and national level. You can check out my portfolio online and read the “Info/Artist Statement” link if you wish to learn more about me and the purpose behind my photographic art.

I actually started this blog over 2 years ago and it began as a way of getting my photography online and interacting with the WordPress community. I would post my pictures and little else. However, I get more and more questions about what goes into creating my photography and until recently, I felt that I didn’t have much to offer in terms of teaching. I would now like to offer this blog as a way of giving back to the photography community. Future postings will include deconstructions on images I’ve made, so that it may help improve your own photography and processing as well as general tutorials, tips, thoughts, ramblings and may also include write ups I’ve done on the places I visit. I’ll be focusing in particular on night photography because that is an area where I feel I can contribute the most. I am by no means an expert and I have no formal training in photography or Photoshop, so please feel free to add your 2 cents if I fail to adequately explain something or if you feel there is a better way to do something. Let’s all learn and get better! You can get updates on posts by email by following me using the link on the right side of my blog, and you can also follow my Facebook page for updates on the blog as well as my photography!
